Lisa has been a physiotherapist for 20 years. Beginning her professional career in Royal North Shore Hospital gave her extensive exposure to the many facets of physiotherapy. Since 1993 Lisa has worked in private practice. Her expertise is in the area of lumbo-pelvic, upper back and neck pain, and headache. Lisa also enjoys treating dance injuries. Muscle energy and Mulligan techniques, trigger point therapy and massage are examples of the treatment techniques she uses in her very “hands on” style.
Since 1998 Lisa has trained extensively in the Pilates method. She is qualified in all four levels of Clinical Pilates, holds a Certificate IV in Pilates Instruction and a Diploma of Pilates Practice. Lisa lectures for Pilates International on the use of the Pilates when dealing with pain and injury, and on how to use the method to restore health and function. She is a also a certified pre- and post-natal Pilates Instructor.
Lisa uses the combination of her extensive physiotherapy experience and her Pilates training to accurately assess the muscular system and movement to determine the cause of her client’s pain and or injury.
Pain-free movement, healthy movement patterns and body resilience to re-injury are Lisa's goals for her clients. |
